The book, Peeny Butter Fudge by Toni Morrison and Slade Morrison is a good book and was very fun to read!
In the book, the granny comes to babysit three kids while their mom goes out for the day. Their mom left rules for them to follow, but the granny doesn’t follow them. They danced, had potato sack races, played doctor on the granny, did puzzles, and the granny told them stories. She also taught the three kids how to make Peeny Butter Fudge, just like she was taught by her mom and how she taught her daughter, their mom, and how they now know how to make it.
My favorite character in the book was the granny because she reminded me of my Granny and the stuff we get to do together when my mom isn’t around. My Granny and I also like to cook together.
I really liked this story and I want to try the recipe that is in the book – it sounds really good! I would give this book five stars because the pictures in the book were bright and colorful and I liked the way the book rhymed.
